I did not feed my kids dry cereal nearly everyday this week so we could make it to VBS on time. Not me! They get a well-rounded breakfast every morning!

I did not lay down for a few hours each day with Aidan just to get some rest.

I have not been completely exhausted lately.

I am not totally excited that my hubs will be home soonish!

I did not spy my 18 month old eating (& sharing with the dog) melted ice cream from the previous night. I did not just stay laying in bed because I was too tired to get up! Nope! Not me!

I did not laught at Aidan's funny face while eating an Almond for the first time. Nope, not me!!

I did not see the dog eat Aidan's poop after he went potty outside. It did not make me throw up a little in my mouth. Not me, and most certainly not my Dog!

I did not buy Nutella for the first time this morning at the grocery. This would not be my first time trying it. I am not waiting until the kids go to bed so I can try it first all alone! I'm not selfish, nope, not me!!

Not Me! Monday

What I did not do this past week:

• I did not decide that I am going to start keeping a NMM notebook so I can remember all of my NMM events. Not me! I have a terrific memory!
• I did not allow my kids to eat Turkey Dogs for dinner Saturday night. And even if I did, I most certainly did not let them eat them on the floor of the living room watching "Max & Ruby." Nope, Not Me!
  
• After dropping my FIL off at the airport (an hour away), I had a photo shoot to get the kids to in an hour and half. I absolutely did not stop at the kid's consignment to get coordinating outfits because I forgot to dress them properly for the shoot. Not Me!! I prepared for the shoot the night before and had all of the clothes and bows laid out!
• The Army totally did not Bravo* Matt after only spending 4 hours with his dad on Thursday and then subsequently did not put the entire battalion on lockdown*. Nope! Not them! And they definitely do not still have my husband in lockdown indefinitely, nope not the fabulous Army!
• On Mother's Day I did not wake up to a toddler pulling on my hair, a husband sleeping on the sofa & juice and cereal on the living room floor. Nope, Not Me! My husband planned a splendid day of pampering for me!
• Despite the above sentence, I did not end up having a wonderful Mother's Day evening (just took a while to get there)!
  

*Bravo'd = Being called into work after hours (5 pm in this case).
*Lockdown = Not allowed to leave the work area. No visitors.
Why? They are looking for 2 pieces of sensitive equipment.

Not Me! Monday has been on a break for the past 6 weeks while sweet baby Stellan was in the hospital. Now it's back! • I did not wait until today at noon to being my Not Me! Monday post. As a faithful and organized blogger, I already drafted my post and added to it through out the week.
• I was not completely surprised when my 4 year old cleaned the playroom twice last week with out ANY prompting. Not Me! I raise tidy, organized at all times children just like their Mama (yeah right!).
• I am not completely overwhelmed with my father-in-law coming to stay in a few days. I am the perfect daughter-in-law who is very excited for him to come in town.
• And finally, I most certainly did not move the clean laundry that needed to be folded from the sofa to Aidan's pack in play for a majority of the week because I did not feel like putting it away. Not ME!! At least it is finally not put away in the proper places!

• I sooo did not put Aidan in his crib this morning to watch Blue's Clues so I could get a few extra minutes of shut-eye. I also did not tell Kaitlyn to go join him in there when she woke up a few moments after he did. Not me! We don't even watch T.V.

• There was no way that I spent waay too much time re-vamping my blog yesterday. I was definitely cleaning and preparing for my husband's approaching return.

• I soo did not completely fail at getting Aidan to sleep through the night in his own room in his crib. He sleeps all night from 7-7 like an angel, giving Mama the required "me time" and adequate beauty sleep. NOT! But hey, they are only little once, so enjoy it!

• I also did not feed Aidan Red Beans & Rice and then wonder why he slept horribly through the night. It did not take my mother tell me that he probably had an upset tummy & the gas that goes with it. Not Me! At least he really enjoyed them :-)

• And finally, I did not have a blast playing the Fairy Godmother to Kaitlyn's Snow White this week! Oh wait, yes I did! Too cute!

Not Me! Monday

Time for Therapy!

...I most certainly did not laugh (and think of getting the camera out) when Aidan was hanging onto the side of the high chair with his leg still stuck in a strap after climbing out of it. I definitely did not leave him unstrapped in the chair. I wouldn't do that, I'm the perfect mother!

...I did not leave out folded, clean laundry in the living room for days. I was not thinking, "well we're going out of town next week, why put them up only to take them out & pack"

...I absolutely did not let the dogs clean up Aidan's cheerio mess that the made on the ground. I promptly swept up each on & then sanitized the floor! That's what I did.

...I did not let Kaitlyn watch "Charlie Brown's Christmas" about a million times last week just so I could get homework, housework, nursing, you name it and insert it here done. I would never use the TV in that way. Not me!!

...My baby is not going to be ONE tomorrow!! He is still a sweet little baby who is extremely dependent on his Mama.





...Finally, I seriously don't feel better when reading other's Not Me! Monday entries!! It is not fun!!

Not Me! Monday

A few of the blogs I follow do a Not Me! Confessional from last week. It was started over at MckMamma's blog. So here goes...




I did not fall behind on my classes this week, because I am a very studious student.

I absolutely, positively did not eat too many chocolate chips cookies over the weekend. I'm pretty sure Kaitlyn ate them!

I did not get aggravated with my kids AT ALL. Nope, not once, not me!

I most certainly did not waste way too much time watching movies this weekend.

And finally, I did not, and would never, blame all of my above actions on the fact that my husband deployed Thursday night! :-)
